Explore the Old City
The old town of Merida is right in the center, and it has been amazingly preserved.
You can wander the streets of the city and find cute cafes and bars.

Investigate the Cenotes in the area
Sanuta is an underground water reservoir that was exposed after the rock above it collapsed. This is a unique and amazing natural phenomenon that is very worth exploring and swimming.
